Online the new design section!

l’Opificio loves the quality, the research and the uniqueness of the craftsmanship objects: this is the reason why l’Opificio decided to promote a temporary design section on its online store.
A place where to discover original creations with a contemporary taste made with the patience, the times and the attention needed by design objects. Not only accessories, bijoux, accents…

Since Thursday June 28th  till July 10th  atelier 7|12 on l’Opificio Design Section.

atelier7|12 comes from Annalisa Morzone’s passion for jewelry, from a research on the contemporary craftsmanship and on the creative potential taking place through laser cut technology or the simplest hand work. The atelier is a space where to experience and to research on the jewel as a design product shaped from the intuitions of the project and by the hands’ talent.
Each pendant and each bracelet comes to life thanks to the manual touch, the imperfection of the gesture makes the material come alive: the metal blooms, moves, lives.

It’s just finished the 8th edition of Design Miami that has brought to Basel, from June 11th to 16th, around forty specialized in design furniture galleries, the most innovative design researches and all the best of new trends. Very original shapes and colours, peculiar materials and emerging designers are the key words of the event that this year was hosted in the spectacular pavilion designed by Herzog & De Meueron.

A colours explosion and innovative fabrics: fashion on the Central St. Martins’ catwalk in London

The fashion of the future goes on stage on the Central St. Martins’ catwalks where fashion shows of the most talented pupils have just ended. One of the most important design academy in the word, the school of fashion icons like Paul Smith, Stella Mc Cartney, John Galliano and Riccardo Tisci, is in fact the place where talent scouts discover the designers that will become the stars of the fashion magazine of tomorrow.

First images show a colours explosion, sophisticated fabrics, silhouettes so strange to seem an exercise of style but that surely will become extremely trendy.

An Italian curator for the 55th International Exhibition of Art: Massimiliano Gioni in Venice for the Biennial

The 55th International Exhibition of Art, curated by Massimiliano Gioni, has opened in Venice Saturday, June 1st, in the fabulous setting of the Giardini and in the Arsenale’s spaces. The countries involved in this project are 88, ten of them (like Angola, Bahamas, Bahrain Reign, Ivory Coast, Kosovo Republic, Kuwait, Maldive, Paraguay, Tuvalu and Vatican City) for the first time at the Biennial.

With “Il Palazzo Enciclopedico”, that is the title of the young Italian curator’s exhibition project, Massimiliano Gioni tributes the utopian idea of Marino Auriti who, in 1955, deposited in an American paten office the project of an Encyclopedic Palace, an ideal museum thought which to include all the mankind’s knowledge.

With contemporary and avant-garde art, the 55th Arts Biennial seems to propose an interesting and a necessary reflection about the dynamics of the information and about the future of the contemporary art and of the artists.
