FIORA: Cotton Chenille and Viscose Lampas Designed by Chiara Andreatti
With FIORA, the trilogy of collections designed by Chiara Andreatti comes to a close. Through an essential yet deeply expressive sign, she has interpreted l’Opificio’s identity with precision and sensitivity. In this collection, textile language opens up to a softer dimension, where the flower never becomes descriptive ornament, but rather a subtle presence, a gesture, a trace.
The floral pattern takes shape from an oil pastel drawing, capable of preserving on the surface the spontaneity and delicacy of the handmade gesture. The mark appears textured, blurred, never rigid. Alongside the flowers, strokes of vibrant colour blend into adjacent shades, creating a play of light and depth that animates the fabric with natural ease.
In FIORA, the balance between the softness of pastel and the strength of colour creates a visual presence that is both delicate and intense. The surface moves subtly, crossed by tonal transitions that give the fabric a poetic and contemporary character.
The design never seeks decoration for its own sake. Instead, it works through suggestion: the floral matter dissolves and recomposes through colour, allowing a diffused, almost painterly luminosity to emerge.
The collection is developed as a contemporary lampas in cotton chenille and viscose, with a textile construction that enhances the softness of the mark and the richness of colour. The surface thus gains depth, vibration, and a tactile quality that gives the project a strong material identity.
Available in 8 colourways, FIORA offers a palette designed to fit naturally into both residential and contract interiors, engaging with furniture, light, and architecture in a fluid and refined way.
Like all l’Opificio collections, FIORA is rooted in a production vision consistent with Slow Fiber values. This means choosing thoughtful craftsmanship, quality materials, and a textile culture that brings together beauty, responsibility, and long-lasting value.
The result is a fabric that does not simply follow a trend, but builds a deeper relationship with space and with the people who live in it.
With FIORA, Chiara Andreatti brings to textile design a sensibility capable of uniting artistic gesture, materiality, and project culture. The collection creates a narrative made of light, signs, and tonal nuances, transforming the floral motif into a sophisticated and never predictable presence.
It is in this balance between the spontaneity of the gesture and textile precision that FIORA finds its voice: light, luminous, and deeply contemporary.
