transformation, timeless beauty and the future of interiors
Maison&Objet 2026 confirmed itself once again as one of the world’s most influential platforms for design, interiors and contemporary lifestyle.
A place where craftsmanship, artistic expression and interior vision come together to shape the future of how we live, feel and choose.
At the heart of this edition was Harry Nuriev, awarded Designer of the Year. The visionary founder of Crosby Studios presented a bold, poetic and immersive space inspired by his creative manifesto:Transformism.
“We don’t need more invention. We need clarity, empathy, and perception.”
– Harry Nuriev
Transformism is not about starting from scratch, but about seeing things differently: giving new life to what already exists, amplifying its essence instead of erasing it. A philosophy that resonates deeply with l’Opificio and our commitment to Slow Fiber: where each fabric is created with purpose, emotion and responsibility.
One of the most emotionally engaging spaces was CURATIO, curated by Thomas Haarmann in collaboration with AD France. This capsule exhibition brought together a carefully selected group of designers and brands whose work explores the harmony between material, function and artistic expression.
A celebration of contemporary craftsmanship and creativity with a capital C, CURATIO placed textiles, textures and surfaces at the heart of a multisensory experience.
Trend expert Elizabeth Leriche took visitors on a journey through time with her installation What’s New? In Decor, interpreting the show’s theme “Past reveals Future”.
From neo-Greek to neo-Roman to reimagined Art Deco, her immersive scenography explored how history and heritage can shape the aesthetic codes of tomorrow.
Textiles, ceramics and handmade objects became contemporary archaeological artifacts — pieces that carry meaning, emotion and cultural memory.
Interior architect Rudy Guénaire, inspired by the cinematic universe of In the Mood for Love, introduced Suite 2046 — a dreamlike hotel room suspended in time and space.
Evoking the elegance of the 1920s and the introspection of travel, the suite offered a vision of tomorrow’s hospitality: thoughtful, emotionally resonant, and deeply personal.
A space where beauty meets imagination — not through extravagance, but through simplicity and soul.
Maison&Objet 2026 revealed one clear truth: the future of interiors is not about more, but about better.
It is about spaces that reflect who we are and how we want to live. About sustainable materials, emotional depth and design that tells a story.
At l’Opificio, these values are woven into every collection — from our jacquards and velvets to our bespoke collaborations.
Choosing l’Opificio means choosing:
• conscious beauty,
• ethical craftsmanship,
• timeless quality,
• and a new vision of home that embraces emotion, elegance and responsibility.
