Who is l’Opificio?
l’Opificio is a family company based in Turin, created in 1998 by the brothers Paola, Barbara and Federico Bertoldo that design and produce high hand fabrics and velvets for upholstery 100% Made in Italy, totally formaldehyde-free and without any heavy metals. Our headquarter is in Turin. We export the Italian Lifestyle in more than 40 countries in the world.

What does it mean textile without formaldehyde?
Formaldehyde is a very toxic substance for the human being and the environment. In 2004, the IARC association has identified formaldehyde within the Group I (cancerogenic substance).

l’Opificio sustainable textiles uses only high-quality fibres, carefully selected, produced respecting the animals and the environment. This is the best way to respect the human being and its world. l’Opificio is proud to be “formaldehyde-free” proposing beautiful textile safe for the humans, all of this without renouncing to design!
