How to take care of textiles made of natural fibres.
MAINTENANCE of Natural Fibres: THE GOLDEN RULES Talking about textiles for upholstering and interiors the golden rule is: dry cleaning only.
It is important to maintain fabric and velvets in their initial conditions the longest possible.
A new textile requires longer to stain as the final treatments it has undergone preserve it, but the protection washes away at each washing, making it from time to time more vulnerable to the stains.
We suggest to avoid that grey and dirt become too evident before making the appropriate maintenance. It is better to brush regularly your item, almost every week, to eliminate dust that normally gets on the textile, and that could deepen into the weft.
We suggest to use a soft brush avoiding hard brushes which could damage the surface of the fabrics, causing the pilling effect (small dots of thread).
In case of stain, it is suggested to remove the stain from the textile as soon as possible, in this way facilitating the removal itself.
Before attempting to eliminate a stain with the appropriate products, remove the majority of the stain using an absorbent cloth and test the product on a hidden part of the fabric.
On old stains it is suggested to brush or hoover.
