Images, the magazine devoted to alpine architecture for excellence, has published on the issue nr.44 a renovation curated by the designer Gianluca Bocchetta of Velvet Lab.
“ We are in Sansicario, a district of Cesana Torinese, in the High Susa Valley. Originally this mountain village, at a height of 1700mt over the sea level, on a natural terrace in front of the Hill of Mongenevre, the Moon mountains and Mount Chaberton; of the antique buildings only few remained with an historical interest, thus today Sansicario is known as a ski resort designed in 1969 from the famous total-ski lover whimsical French urbanist Laurent Chappis.
A small retreat, in a modern alpine style, away from the daily stress and perfect to spend some quality time together with the family. The wisely division of the area created by Gianluca Bocchetta, allows to live to the maximum the available space and the choice of materials and colours creates an airy and welcoming interior.”

A key role is played by l’Opificio textiles which, soft and surrounding, make the contemporary interior warm and comfortable. The colours chosen: green as the landscape and white as the snow. “Colours are the projection from what you can see from the windows that allow the morning light to pervade and warm up the interior”.

The textile solutions chosen for curtains, bed room, living and the seating room communicate comfort and modernity. The Linen Velvet, that offers the greatest comfort, perfectly combines with the jacquard fabrics, in a play of interaction resulting in a great harmony.
l’Opificio collections selected for this renovation are Linen Vevet, Lovely Fioca, Fizz Jungle and Vocalese Treccia . Velvet and textile 100% Made in Italy, totally formaldehyde-free, with no heavy metals, for an interior respectful of the human being and the environment.
