    Exclusive Charity 20th October – 20th November

    The Charity auction launched by Exclusive Brands Torino

    It is with great pleasure that l’Opificio participates with the NONNINA armchairs and the cushions W l’Italia to the Charity Auction launched by Exclusive Brands Torino with the support of Sant’Agostino Casa d’Aste to celebrate the 10th birthday.

    Paola Bertoldo, Vice president of Exclusive Brands Torino, says.” It seemed particularly appropriate to underline this goal sharing a moment dedicated to our two Charity Partners.
    Knowing that thanks to the success of our network we can support charity excellences of our territory in their work, it is a choice of caring and support that makes all of us proud .”

    It is a special auction as it proposes object and the opportunity to make an experience within a company.
    So, you will find among the offer a tour in the historical Bava Cellars with a vertical tasting of Barbera Superiore accompanied by the producer or a guided visit at Pininfarina with Paolo Pininfarina. Furthermore, there will be real collector’s item like the original Gelato Pepino sign of the ’40 or the personalised scent “made to measure” by Tonatto Profumi.
    What will we achieve with the money raised by the Exclusive Charity?
    We will support the ResidenzeOz of associazione CasaOz onlus and the research of Fondazione Ricerca Molinette onlus.
    What about the ResidenzeOz? 4 mini-apartments situated at the Association headquarters in Corso Moncalieri made available to the families of children admitted to hospitals in Turin. Family stays can vary from few months up to some years, in the very unfortunate cases. Each apartment costs 1000,00 Euro/month. Until today they have been used by more than 150 families.

    It is for this reason that part of the raised amount through the auction, will be donated to Fondazione Ricerca Molinette specifically to the call for funding to reward the excellence of the scientific research on aging diseases at Città della Salute e della Scienza. Concretely we will support Scholarships (annual value of 25 000,00 Euros) for young researchers, innovative equipment and tools for research laboratories .
    To invest today in research means to allow the actual generation to satisfy its needs without compromising the future generations to satisfy theirs.

    For this occasion, l’Opificio has put up for auction two armchairs “Nonnina” and the celebration cushion in limited edition W l’Italia.
    Nonnina is the classic bedroom armchair of the ’60 , upholstered with the brocade fabric Zuu Animalier pattern Zebra and Giraffa in two tones black and white.
    Contrasting piping and buttons in Velluto di Cotone.
    l’Opificio Zuu Fabric and Velvet, weft in Turin, are totally formaldehyde-free and without heavy metals, respecting human health and the environment.
    This armchair is a pre-loved object, a loved one, a second-hand piece of interior, reinterpreted with l’Opificio fabrics and velvets in an object with a great contemporary personality.
    Today, more than ever, to renovate, reuse, recycle are commitments of respect towards our Planet, the daily used resources and the future generations.
    It is also a matter of passing down over time, from owner to owner, the work mastered by those who made this object by hand.
    The combination of the different textiles, the contrast of colours and the softness of the velvet touch, make this armchair a perfect piece for contemporary interiors.

    W l’Italia – Limited Edition Celebration Cushion
    Rectangular sartorial cushion with vertical bands in soft Velluto di Cotone in the colours of the Italian Flag, finished with two contrasting buttons. The cushion celebrates the unforgettable months of 2021 when Italians have won in all fields from music to sport to science.

    The auction has been launched online on October 20th on Sant’Agostino Casa d’Aste website, it will be followed by and event in presence on October 26th at the Casa d’Aste Sant’Agostino to view the lots live and it will end on November 20th with the auction in presence at the Museo del Risorgimento in the Exclusive Brands Torino Lounge that will be organised by the network on the occasion of the Nitto ATP Finals.
