l’Opificio participates at the 60th edition of the Salone del Mobile and the Milan Design Week imagining the living of the future through surfaces: personal, welcoming, colorful, sustainable and virtual.

The company plays this year with a double-setting, physical and virtual stand.

From the physical stand it will be possible to immerse yourself in a parallel world through a virtual reality project. Through a viewer, visitors will enter a parallel virtual space created by designer Gianluca Bocchetta, art director of Velvet Studio: a dreamlike, ironic and sometimes alienating environment.

The physical setting transforms into a heavenly backdrop, a journey from the Alps to the sea, the setting for the Muta_1 2022 seating collection, also designed by Gianluca Bocchetta. Chairs and armchairs will be dressed for the occasion with l’Opificio collections: a mix and match that mixes indoor and outdoor textiles, fluorescent flash patterns, pop accents, precious velvets and animalier roars.

The designer’s concept evokes the post-modernism of Memphis, reaffirming the importance of color linked to the emotional experience.

So, the chairs, armchairs, benches and stools that make up the Muta_1 collection by dressing the collections of Tessuti and Velluti l'Opificio become living elements to convey all their sensory comfort or tactile paintings for the windows.
