Jacquard Fabrics and Velvets for Contract

l’Opificio textile proposals for hotel, restaurants and stores

Talking about jacquard fabrics and velvets for Contract we intend technical textiles produced for the interiors of public buildings like, commercial areas, stores, hotels, boutique hotels and bed & breakfast.
In this cases are normally requested fire-retardant and resistant textiles in line with the most stringent safety rules for public spaces.
Starting by saying that any textile can be transformed in a fire-retardant textile, thanks to specific treatments done after the woven process, like the coating for example, l’Opificio has chosen not to make this kind of treatments, as our products do not contain any formaldehyde nor any toxic substances. This implies that we produce resistant, washable and fire- retardant textiles by using natural or artificial fibres, which are intrinsically fire-retardant.
In this respect, the first fibre we work is wool. Sustainable and eco, fire-retardant by nature, the wool guarantees always maximum comfort. In the past, for example, wool velvet was used in theatres because of its comfort, resistance and fire-retardant characteristics.
Another feature of wool and more specifically of kid-mohair wool is that besides being fire-retardant and lustrous it has also a “body” that allows it natural fibre to be more elastic and more resistant to crisp, therefore better for heavy use interiors.
l’Opificio Velluto di Kid-mohair collection, in 11 gorgeous shades, along with the other wool collections are perfectly in line with these standards and therefore used in Contract spaces.
Another resistant, fire-retardant fibre is the Trevira, which is an artificial fibre able to maintain despite the use, the ageing and the washing its fireproof characteristics as these characteristics are grounded into the molecular chain of the fibre itself. Therefore the textile woven with Trevira CS stands the most severe fire-resistant tests all over the world reaching the highest classification, in Italy (Classe 1 Italia).
l’Opificio Velluto di Trevira collection presents a dense nice haptic collection which allows to create high quality interiors. The collection proposes 22 colour variants, always available.
Another flame-resistant fibre that we weave is the Modacrilico (modified acrylic fibre) . Fire-resistant and washable, it is used in the weft with a polyester warp. The textile made of this fibre respect all different norms regarding fire-retardant textiles.
Among l’Opificio jacquard fabrics collections dedicated to the Contract, washable resistant and certified Classe 1 Italia, Urbana and Resident collections.
The first, Urbana, is a collection that presents 4 patterns: two false unit (Close and Obliquo) and 2 micro patterns (Video and Tent). It is an easy to use collection from a decorative point of view as it combines well with other patterns too. 11 the colour variant proposed. It is washable in water.
The second, Resident combines two patterns: Eshu a materic false unit and Graph, a pattern with a tribal inspiration. Rich and with a three-dimensional effect it offer a very nice haptic. It is available in 10 colour tones and it is washable in water.
To conclude our selection of proposals for contract, Il Velluto Tech. It is an high performance, practical and resistant velvet that shows also other major characteristics like it is oleo- and water-repellent, rot resistant, resistant to light, washable in water at 40°, has a Martindale higher then 100000 Martindale and has the highest resistance to pilling. A velvet with a very thick and dense pile, extremely pleasant to the touch, which grants a very elegant and refined look. The collection proposes 18 colour shades. Here too, a colour palette that perfectly matches with the patterns of the other l’Opificio jacquard fabrics collections.
Finally we like to remind you that l’Opificio jacquard fabric and the velvet collections developed for contract, can be a perfect solution for residential interiors, especially, for those rooms planned for a heavy use.
