20 years of l’Opificio: “When Textile becomes Italian Lifestyle”
l’Opificio present the book that narrates of the passion and spirit of the first 20
years of activity
How can we celebrate our first 20 years respecting our style? How emphasize the time past after that famous spring when l’Opificio was founded? We decided to follow an unusual path, instead of talking about us we decided to ask to be narrated through 5 different insights of 5 beautiful women and professionals: an art director, a creative photographer, a blogger, an art photographer with the introduction of a journalist and blogger. Curious eyes, different insights that interpret our work with a very personal specific spirit and soul. The passion that arises from the introduction written by Stefania Soma Alias Petunia Ollister, who has very well understood the company soul and writes: “I was touched by that ability of creating interactive textile collections totally eliminating the concept of time, the absence of reaching only the wow effect….” This is how we feel. Partially depending from our own town, our muse, Turin, reserved and never over-the-top, and partially our style: always careful and never tired of a confrontation
The book beginning is dedicated to our Art Director, Barbara Bertoldo, and soul of the Maison, fond of textile, fashion, arts and decorative arts, curios and practical, sophisticated and actual, provocative and refined, she has interpreted the textile as a timeless Beauty.
The research continuous through the eyes of the blogger Carlotta Berta (unprogetto.com -@unacarlotta) who has seen l’Opificio collections “with the eyes of the different lifestyle they can narrate” creating beautiful mood-palettes.
Ilaria Corticelli, creative photographer, (@ilariacorticelli) portrayed our collections as a journey through the day, where the most important moments are spent together, where beloved people or friends meets together: at breakfast or just for a tea, what counts it’s to be together sharing a moment of joy and beauty.
Finally,
Stefania Bonatelli (@stefaniabonatelli) who made us a present creating
two artistic insights of our daily work.
The first interpretation of our collection sees the fashion world and the geometric design in a deep dialog, ethereal and almost metaphysic.
A second one combines our
textile with the
exotic nature that makes us dreaming of a fantastic world full of vivid and brilliant colours as only in nature is possible.
Both interpretations show the unusual insight of the photographer and the work of research made in post-production, just as the process behind any of our textile.
These are our
first 20 years; other will follow, with the aim to maintain to the highest standard the
Made in Italy and that sense for aesthetics that makes an
Italian product special and precious.
