We are delighted to announce our participation in OFFTAMAT, the new exhibition space by STUDIOTAMAT, inaugurated on February 5, 2025, in Rome. The first exhibition showcased HIGH TIDE, a bespoke textile collection created by designer Daniela Pinotti, which we had the pleasure of fabricating. This collection highlights the importance of personalized service and craftsmanship, which are fundamental to l’Opificio.

HIGH TIDE: an immersion in textile craftsmanship

Within the 3x3x3 meter exhibition cube of OFFTAMAT, the HIGH TIDE collection came to life in a setup that made the fabric the undisputed protagonist. The abstract jacquard, born from Daniela Pinotti’s creativity and crafted by l’Opificio, stands out for its sophisticated textures and hues, exemplifying the versatility and uniqueness of bespoke textiles.

Barbara Bertoldo, Creative Director of l’Opificio, expresses her enthusiasm for this collaboration: “Working with STUDIOTAMAT and Daniela Pinotti on a project that showcases our ability to customize fabrics according to the needs of designers and architects is a source of great pride for us. A refined technique for unique details

The collection employs the sophisticated lampas technique, which weaves two wefts on a warp to create vibrant decorations and embossed details. The first two color variants, strawberry red and fir green, were developed exclusively for OFFTAMAT, demonstrating l’Opificio’s skill in adapting its textile art to innovative exhibition contexts. During the vernissage, the fabric adorned the space with a dramatic scenic curtain. At center stage, an archival armchair upholstered with the HIGH TIDE fabric showcased the material’s versatile applicability in various interior design areas, from coverings to interior complements.
