Color and Sustainability
The January 2023 edition of Maison&Objet has just ended.
We are back to normal for an edition characterised by cold and snow!
The setting up of our space, projected towards the future, wanted to be a hymn to color.
A concept characterized by architectural elements and sustainability, both themes that have always been dear to us, which we particularly wanted to enhance this year as we celebrate our twenty-fifth anniversary.
Following a no-waste logic, we have used exclusively recycled elements or recyclable materials for the construction of the stand.
The set-up designed by architect Bruno Tarsia imagined the space as a light casket, in 60s style, to envelop the collections: a linen velvet envelope and geometric wallpaper from the Euphoria collection, in shades of pink.
Inside, the entire l’Opificio universe with our kaleidoscope of colours.
Alongside pink, the dominant color for this edition, the other colors chosen were blue, yellow and orange, combined with the patterns of the collections signed by the designers: Lanzavecchia+Wai for Architrame, Bruno Tarsia for Relief, Serena Confalonieri for Talia and Scott and Barbara Bertoldo – art directors of the Maison - for Euphoria Polka Dots.
The stand wore PIT2117 Peach from l'Opificio Wall Paint collection by Wilson&Morris, one of the shades of the moment that we combined with the Pois-On wallpaper pattern INKJLNF1601 Pink by Inkiostrobianco.
Bright and lively colors that convey a message of positivity and sustainability, understood as a set of best practices in production, such as an efficient use of energy, the elimination of harmful substances including formaldehyde, investment in circular economy activities for reduce the waste of waste and a textile supply chain at km 0.
Precisely for this reason, we are founding members of Slow Fiber, the network of virtuous companies in the textile supply chain which aims to disseminate knowledge of the impact that textile products have on the environment, on workers in the supply chain and on the health of consumers to spread a new ethics and culture of furnishing and dressing to all the inhabitants of the planet. For the house of the future to dress in a Beautiful, Healthy, Clean and Fair way.
