l’Opificio @ Il Salone del Mobile.Milano
xLux – Hall 1 Stand G10
l’Opificio exhibition area at Il Salone del Mobile 2022 is a physical and virtual double-reality stand.
The presence at the fair this year is characterized by being a bridge between the physical and the augmented reality and as a link between the space at Fiera Milano Rho and the spaces at Fuorisalone.
A stand, interpreted by the styling of Bruno Tarsia, that welcomes and envelops in the tactile beauty of the collections of fabrics and velvet for furnishing that make our daily life alive and transport us, through the augmented reality in parallel and almost metaphysical worlds.
The physical dimension highlights the new textile collections Viceversa, Viceversa Monet, Montagna Magica and Velluto di Lino and leads the visitor in the world of the cushions collection and the contract proposals.
The architectural element of the stairs is used as an inspiration, focusing on the different themes.
From the physical stand you can immerse yourself in a parallel world in VR. The virtual stand l'Opificio created by the designer Gianluca Bocchetta, art director of Velvet Studio, is a dreamy and out of place environment. Funny elements on a heavenly background transport us from the Alps to the sea immerging us in a feeling of well-being and relaxation.
The physical dimension of the stand becomes, in the virtual stand, the setting for the collection of Muta_1 2022 chairs that dress the collections Velluto di Cotone, Velluto di Alpaca, Velluto Tech and the jacquard fabrics Viceversa e Zuu. A game between indoor and outdoor textile textures, between fluo colour flashes, pop accents, animalier roars and loving touches.
For this collection of seats, characterized by a more decorative than functional connotation almost artistic in limited edition, the designer evokes the post-modernism of Memphis and Sottsass. With this setting he underlines the importance of color linked to the mood, sustainable design pieces made of metal and fabric timeless and destined to last over time.
